Philly Engagement Session

So you want to do your engagement session in Philly? I’m so ready for that!! Philly is my favorite city. We shoot a lot of engagement sessions and weddings there and I don’t ever think I’ll get tired of it.

If you are planning your Philly engagement session and trying to think of the best locations that will tell your story and really match your personalities, we have some great tips to help you figure out what places are good for you.

First thing’s first, start thinking of places in your own neighborhood. Some of the best photos that I’ve taken in Philly happen right outside the couple’s house. We like to keep things natural with our engagement sessions and the best way to to stay relaxed and comfortable is to start in your own environment. Katie and Hank decided to start their session in their living room and it was amazing! Think about the places you go everyday. Do the two of you walk your dog at a cute park or frequent a certain coffee shop? Those are great places to go for your engagement photos.

Next, think about the places that are meaningful to you. Did you meet in a certain neighborhood or maybe you had your first date at The Art Museum? Was your first apartment together in Old City and you want to take a walk past your first stoop? Do it!! An engagement session is a great time to capture this time of your life and be sentimental.

Lastly, think about something that you love to do together. Do you like to ice skate at Rothman’s or walk near the river? Katie and Hank ended their Philly engagement session in true Philly fashion and ate some steaks at Geno’s. Whatever you like to do together, incorporate in your engagement session and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
